Woman seriously injured after being hit by car in Northpark Shopping Centre at Prospect

Two people have been hit by a car in a shopping centre carpark, with a woman suffering serious injuries.

A woman has been seriously injured after being hit by a car at a suburban shopping centre.

Emergency services were called to the Northpark Shopping Centre in Prospect after a Toyota sedan hit two people as they walked through the carpark just after 10am on Thursday.

A 27-year-old Enfield man suffered leg injuries, while a 31-year-old Enfield woman suffered serious injuries.

A medical team stabilised the woman before she was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

She remains in a serious but stable condition.

An 82-year-old North Adelaide man, who was driving the car, was taken to hospital for assessment.

He is understood to be helping police with their inquiries.
