FORMER bikie boss Vince Focarelli has announced his city eatery LaFig Cucina is for sale as he faces deportation from Australia.
Last month as revealed in The Advertiser, Focarelli, who is originally from Italy, was served a “notice of intent’’ to cancel his visa because of his horrific criminal past.
The gang leader turned restaurateur has less than a month to file a submission justifying why he should be allowed to stay in Australia.
But in a dramatic development, Focarelli last night posted on social media that his Carrington St eatery would soon close, declaring “that that we have no choice but to CLOSE LaFig Cucina.”
In a post on its Facebook page it said: “Unfortunately due to the current situation we are sad to say” that it will shut on March 19.
Focarelli’s submission, which must be filed to the Immigration Department, will also be delivered to federal Immigration and Border Protection Minister Peter Dutton, who will then make the final decision.
“We thank you all that have supported us.
“Also as of today whoever is interested La FIG is on the market if anyone has any interest please call Vince. Bless you all!!!”
