Van with a load of e-scooters rolls in a major city-centre intersection after driver runs red light

A van carrying a load of Lime e-scooters rolled over in the city overnight after the driver allegedly ran a red light and collided with a four-wheel drive.

Could scooter-sharing networks be the answer to urban mobility?

A van carrying a load of Lime e-scooters rolled over in the city overnight after the driver allegedly ran a red light and collided with a four-wheel drive.

The incident occurred just after 1.30am on Tuesday at the intersection of King William St and Grenfell St.

No one was hurt, but if you see fewer scooters around, this could be the reason.

The driver, a 21-year-old Christies Beach woman, has been issued with an expiation notice for disobeying a traffic light.

500 electronic scooters are zipping around town during the Adelaide Fringe as part of a trial by the State Government.

Ten people were hit with traffic infringement notices while riding the scooters at the first weekend of the trial.

The provider, Lime, said earlier this month that its Adelaide trial, which ends on March 17, has so far surpassed expectations.
