Person arrested following stabbing at Alberton
UPDATED: A PERSON has sustained serious injuries after being stabbed at Alberton this afternoon.
A MAN has sustained serious injuries after being stabbed at Alberton this afternoon.
Police and ambulance crews were sent to a Sussex St property about 4.20pm in response to reports of a person being knifed.
A 43-year-old Alberton man sustained a stab wound to his abdomen and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries.
A 19-year-old West Lakes man, who was known to the victim, was arrested and has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment for a hand injury.
He is expected to be charged later this evening.
Sussex St is closed to traffic and pedestrians between King and Queen streets while police investigate the incident.
