A luxury West Lakes home previously owned by tennis star Lleyton Hewitt has been targeted in a molotov cocktail attack.
Police were sent to the Martin Court house at about 8.55pm on Monday night in response to reports of a molotov cocktail being thrown at an outside wall of the property, sparking a small fire.
The incident caused minor damage to the wall and the fire was extinguished almost immediately.
Police believe it was not a random attack and are investigating the incident.
Hewitt sold the waterfront home in 2014 for almost $2.2 million.
It had been on the market for more than five years when it was finally off-loaded.
Hewitt bought the property for $3.2 million in 2003.
Police ask anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area around 9pm on Monday to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report it online at crimestopperssa.com.au.
