Man caught drink driving luxury Porsche on its rims loses licence at Fulham Gardens

Porsche lovers look away, this is going to sting. But it won’t hurt more than the owner’s headache this morning after he was caught drink driving the luxury SUV on its rims overnight.

Porsche lovers look away, this is going to sting. But it won’t hurt more than the owner’s headache this morning after he was caught drink driving the luxury SUV on its rims at Fulham Gardens.

It is unclear what year Cayenne model it was, however this year’s retails new from $116,000 and up to $239,000 for the turbo edition.

Officers came across the black Porsche station wagon on Tapleys Hill Rd about 1.10am.

The stationary car was severely damaged – both driver’s side tyres were blown out and the car had been driven on its rims for some distance.

The driver, a 56-year-old man from the western suburbs, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.137.

He lost his licence on the spot for six months and was reported for drink driving and aggravated driving without due care.

Parts of a tyre were found along Tapleys Hill Rd and Military Rd at West Beach.

Police are appealing to witnesses who saw the Porsche driving on Monday night or any incidents it may haven been involved in.
