THE family of a mother and her two children who were allegedly murdered in Adelaide’s north cried as the man charged over their deaths pleaded not guilty to all three murders.
Steven Graham Peet, 31, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court via videolink from prison, accused of murdering Adeline Yvette Rigney-Wilson, 29, and her children Amber, 6, and five-year-old Korey at a Hillier property in May 2016.
On Thursday, he pleaded not guilty to all three murder charges after a direction from his lawyer, Stephen Ey.
His denials prompted gasps, tears and swearing from supporters of the victims who were sitting in the public gallery, including one man yelling out the word “w**ker”.
Magistrate Ian White warned people in the gallery they would be cleared from the court if they made any further comments.
Mr White remanded Peet in custody to appear in the Supreme Court next month.
The victim’s family did not want to comment on the not guilty pleas outside court.
At Peet’s previous appearance, the court was told significant new material had arisen in the triple murder case.
No details of the new material were revealed on Thursday.
The bodies of Ms Rigney-Wilson and her children were found at a house at Hillier on May 30 last year.
Details of how they were killed have not been revealed.
After the deaths, Families SA confirmed they had been in “active contact” with Ms Rigney-Wilson and her children.
