A GANG has been ordered to stand trial over the brutal murder of a young father who was brutally bashed, stabbed and strangled before being dumped on a roadside almost 40km away.

Jayson Doelz, 27, suffered a stab wound to the neck, blunt head trauma and was strangled with a cord or electrical cable, the Adelaide Magistrates Court heard on Friday.

After being brutally bashed at a Pooraka house, police say he was then dumped at Kersbrook when he tried to escape the gang over “a very, very, very minor matter”.

He had allegedly broken out of a black 2008 Ford XR6 sedan but was then caught, bashed and fatally stabbed on the roadside.

When his body was discovered, two days later, in a ditch on the edge of Little South Para Rd, his injuries were so severe that police were initially unsure if he had been hit by a car.

At the time of his death, Mr Doelz had been living at Glenelg with his young son, then aged two.

The identifies of his accused killers Kym Wayne Barnes, 32, of Ingle Farm, Shane Matthew Muckray, 27, of Moonta, and Chad Badcock, 30, of Northfield, can be revealed after they denied his murder.

Major Crime detectives recently recovered what they believe is the murder weapon.

Another woman, Terrilee Jordan, 28, also of Ingle Farm, denied assisting an offender over the bashing amid claims she helped clean up the Pooraka blood-soaked crime scene and empty a Ford Falcoln sedan before Mr Doelz was dumped inside.

An earlier hearing was told Mr Doelz was also attacked with a dog before he was driven to the Adelaide Hills and murdered.

Magistrate Paul Foley ordered they face a Supreme Court trial at a later date before lifting secrecy orders banning publication of their identities. Key witnesses in the case cannot be named for legal reasons.

Prosecutor Karen Ingleton said Mr Doelz also suffered lacerations to his lips, was hit in the head with a shovel, and bled heavily during the beating at the Pooraka property shortly before his body was found dumped at Kersbrook, in the Adelaide Hills.

Andrew Ey, defending, unsuccessfully argued Jordan had no case to answer but Mr Foley rejected his arguments.

She will also appear in the Supreme Court at a later date but will return to court next week for a review of her bail conditions. She refused comment outside court as she hid her face with a scarf.
