‘Drunk’ teenager reported for allegedly damaging Blair Athol Recreation Reserve with car burnouts

A drunk teenager behind the wheel has been caught destroying an oval used by children’s sports clubs while having five other people in the car with him, police say.

A teenage driver drunk behind the wheel has been caught destroying an oval used by children’s sports clubs with five passengers inside the car, police say.

Patrols were called to Blair Athol Recreation Reserve on Prospect Rd after reports of car doing burnouts on the oval just after 5am on Saturday.

Officers found a white Holden Commodore sedan in a nearby car park with five people in the vehicle.

The P-plate driver was breath tested and allegedly returned a 0.065 blood alcohol reading.

The 18-year-old was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle, drink driving and breaching his provisional licence.

He will be summonsed to appear at Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.

His Commodore was defected and impounded for 28 days.

The oval is used by Kilburn Football and Cricket Club.
