Hundreds of Territorians dressed to the nines to raise $328,710 and combat the NT’s severe infant mortality rate.

Humpty Dumpty Foundation patron Ray Martin AM hosted the organisation’s sixth annual charity ball on Saturday night.

Founder and chairman Paul Francis OAM said the “great fundraising result” was thanks to the NT’s continued support and generosity.

“It shouldn’t matter where you live, but with an infant mortality rate triple that of any other state and territory in Australia, it certainly does matter for a family living in the Northern Territory,” he said.

“As a result of everybody’s generosity, more children in the Territory will have greater and far more improved health outcomes.

“I can’t thank everyone who came along enough for their wonderful support.”

The funds raised will go towards life-saving equipment in hospitals across the NT.

The Humpty Dumpty Foundation has raised a total of $6.83m in the NT, providing 707 pieces of equipment to 67 Territory hospitals.
