Heidi Crisp will take over as ANMF NT Branch Secretary after being elected in a formal members ballot
After 18 years as a nurse in Alice Springs, Heidi Crisp has been elected as the new ANMF NT Branch Secretary.
A registered nurse and midwife who has called Alice Springs home for the past 18 years has taken over as the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation Northern Territory Branch Secretary, after being elected by the membership following a formal ballot.
Heidi Crisp has commenced her role in the ANMF NT office after taking out the formal ballot to replace Cath Hatcher as Branch Secretary after she announced her retirement after six years in the role.
Mrs Hatcher served as President for the NT Branch from November 2018 until she resigned in September 2019, before taking over as Secretary from Yvonne Falckh in January 2021 following Falckh’s resignation.
In a release from ANMF NT, they thanked Ms Hatcher for her service saying she now moves into her next chapter - retirement with her husband Grant.
“Cath has served the Branch with dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment,” the release said.
“We extend our deepest thanks and warmest wishes for the adventures ahead.”
The formal ballot was conducted in September where three financial ANMF NT members nominated for the position, with Crisp elected by the membership.
“Heidi brings extensive remote clinical experience, strong advocacy skills, and a deep commitment to the nursing and midwifery professions,” the release stated.
The term, which began on December 1, will run for four-years, concluding on November 29, 2029.
A handover between the outgoing and incoming Branch Secretaries is currently underway, and its expected to be complete by December 19.
