A man has been rushed to hospital with “extensive” injuries after a workplace incident on the Gold Coast.

A man has been rushed to hospital with “extensive” injuries after a workplace incident on the Gold Coast.

Emergency services were called to Hollywell Rd in Biggera Waters around 11.30am on Wednesday.

An ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics assessed a man in his 40s who had “extensive injuries”.

A QAS spokesman said an elevator cart and fallen and struck the man who sustained head, shoulder, back, groin and ankle injuries as a result.

He was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
