Wild dashcam footage has emerged after a shocking crash at one of the city’s most busy intersections.

Posted to Facebook page Dashcam Owners Australia on Saturday, the footage shows a white SUV attempting a U-turn on the intersection of Queen St and Ferry Rd in Southport. 

The vehicle, a Honda HR-V had conducted a U-turn before it crashed with a Nissan X-Trail on Queen St on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to the two vehicle traffic crash at approximately 12.20pm. 

A spokesperson for Queensland Police Service said the driver of the Honda, an 87-year-old man sustained minor injuries while the passenger and driver in the Nissan were not injured.

Police investigations are ongoing.
