Three people are on the run after smashing a car into a chemist on the Gold Coast.

Police were called to a Chempro Chemist on Kristins Lane in Upper Coomera about 2am on Tuesday after the business’ alarms were activated.

Officers found the front glass door had been smashed by a car which had rammed into the shop front.

A Gold Coast police spokesperson said two offenders stole a quantity of pharmaceutical goods while a third person stayed inside the ute.

The trio then fled the scene in the ute.

Police are calling for any witnesses or anyone who may have any information in relation to the incident to contact police at 131 444.
