Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in Whittington overnight.

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in Whittington overnight.

Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at a Solar Drive property about 10.40pm on Sunday.

Leading Senior Constable Adam West said firefighters extinguished the blaze and there were no reports of any injuries.

The extent of damage to the single-storey property is not yet known.

The property was taped off by police and a crime scene was established.

The front yard was littered with items that appeared to have been pulled from the house.

Constable West said investigations were ongoing.

“Anyone with information that could assist police should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” he said.

Fire Rescue Victoria has been contacted for comment.
