Police probe suspicious Gull St, Norlane house fire

Dramatic vision has emerged of a house fire in Norlane on Tuesday evening.
CCTV footage from a neighbouring property shows two people having an altercation outside a Gull St home moments before it was engulfed by black smoke and flames about 6pm.
The vision shows flames inside the home while the two people are outside the front door of the house.
Seconds later clouds of thick black smoke can be seen before the vision ends.
As of Wednesday morning, police had taped off the property and were investigating the circumstances around the suspicious blaze.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said officers arrested a man and a woman shortly after the blaze.
“Police later arrested a 37 year-old woman and 31 year-old man and they were released pending further inquiries,” the spokeswoman said.
“It is believed the parties are known to each other.
“No one was injured but the house was destroyed.”
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokeswoman said crews put out the flames and assisted one patient with smoke inhalation.
Paramedics were called to the scene however no one required treatment.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
