Greater Victoria reflected the same trends as Geelong, with Isla and Oliver taking out top gong.
A total of 389 little girls in Victoria were named Isla, while Oliver retained the top spot on the list for the 11th year in a row.
570 new bubs were named Oliver in the past 12 months, it was also the most commonly submitted name in the Geelong Advertiser’s cutest baby competition last year.
It will need to stay on top for another 13 years to overtake the name John – which reigned supreme for 23 years in Victoria between 1929 to 1951.
