A man has died in a fatal house fire in Apollo Bay in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A man has died in a fatal house fire in Apollo Bay in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Emergency Services were called to the fire at Diana Street about 12.30am and removed a 40-year-old man from the property and commenced CPR, however he did not survive.

Another two men who were at the property at the time were able to evacuate and were treated at the scene by ambulance crews.

A crime scene has been established while detectives work to establish the exact circumstances and cause of the fire.
