Four people have been charged after an alleged aggravated home invasion where a shot was fired in Lovely Banks last week.
A police spokeswoman said a man and woman were arrested at a home in Corio on Monday.
Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad charged Abynei Lacey, 28, from Corio with a range of offences including aggravated home invasion involving a firearm and armed robbery.
Ms Lacey fronted the Geelong Magistrates Court on Tuesday and made no application for bail.
She was remanded in custody until April 8.
A 28-year-old Geelong North man was also charged with multiple offences including aggravated home invasion involving a firearm and being a prohibited person to possess a firearm.
He was remanded to appear at Geelong Magistrates Court on April 8.
Both were both allegedly on bail when they committed the offence, police said.
A 27-year-old Lovely Banks man and Corio’s Timothy Thomas, 52, were also charged following the incident.
Mr Thomas made a bid for bail on Monday which was refused by magistrate Franz Holzer.
Both men were remanded to appear at Geelong Magistrates Court on April 8.
The charges come after emergency services responded to reports of an alleged aggravated home invasion at a Cox Rd address shortly after 9.30am on January 2.
Police will allege a number of people attended the address armed with a homemade firearm and assaulted the two occupants.
A police spokeswoman said a 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were inside the house at the time and were treated for minor physical injuries.
She said it is believed a shot was discharged into the ceiling during the incident.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
The charges come just days after police charged two men and a 12-year-old boy following an alleged attempted home invasion and stabbing in Grovedale.
Police allege the trio attended a property on Church St and attempted to gain entry to the premises about 11.30pm on January 3.
One of the men accused, Belmont man Nathan Elbourne, was released from jail only two days before the alleged crime, a court heard.
The 20-year-old, who has been charged with attempted home invasion and recklessly causing injury, fronted the Geelong Magistrates Court on Monday and was refused bail.
The investigation into the Lovely Banks incident remains ongoing.
