Aitkenvale two-vehicle crash, woman transferred to Townsville University Hospital
Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle was involved in a crash at Aitkenvale Tuesday morning that saw a woman taken to hospital.

Police have confirmed the second vehicle involved in a car crash Tuesday morning at Aitkenvale was a stolen car.
Earlier it was reported that a woman was taken to hospital after emergency crews extracted her from a car due to a two-vehicle crash.
A Queensland Police spokesman said they received reports of the crash at 7:56am on the corner of Ross River Road and Anne Street at Aitkenvale.
The QPS spokesman advised the second vehicle involved had left the scene.
Paramedics were on scene treating the woman in the other car for chest injuries and cuts after she was removed from the car, and taken to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
It was advised earlier that traffic had built up along Ross River Rd and drivers were advised to avoid the area.
Police investigations are ongoing.
