Police have issued a traffic warning after a car burst into flames on the Pacific Motorway at Helensvale on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to the scene near exit 62 on the southbound lanes of the M1, where a ute was well-involved in flames just after 11.15am on Wednesday.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said crews were on scene by 11.20am and the fire was out by 11.30am.
A man was being assessed for smoke inhalation, although it was not yet clear whether he would be taken to hospital, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.
Police have warned the incident might cause some traffic headaches, posting an alert to social media just before 11.30am on Wednesday.
