Two people have been assessed by paramedics following two separate crashes in the Far North.

Emergency services have assessed two drivers from two separate multi-vehicle car crashes in Mareeba and Smithfield.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman confirmed crews were assessing a male in his 70s after a car crashed into three parked vehicles on Cumberland Ave in Smithfield, at 2.30pm.

“We were informed of a four vehicle crash and are assessing one stable male patient on scene,” the spokeswoman said.

“We believe it to be a medical incident.”

In a separate incident, paramedics assessed a female patient in her 60s following a two-vehicle crash on the intersection of Basalt Street and James Street at 2.35pm in Mareeba.

“From what’s come in, it might’ve been a medical incident before the crash. We’re assessing her now,” the spokeswoman confirmed.
