Truck carrying caravans rolls on Bruce Highway near Babinda

A truck carrying and towing two caravans has rolled on the Bruce Highway in the Far North, with the driver taken to hospital. Here’s what we know.

A truck carrying a caravan on its tray and towing another caravan has rolled on the Bruce Highway near Babinda.

The single-vehicle crash occurred south of Babinda shortly before midday on Saturday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said emergency services received a call at 11.47am and attended the scene, but the driver had already been taken to Babinda Hospital.

Traffic flow in both directions has reportedly been impacted, and drivers are urged to proceed with caution.

Police were also at the scene.
