A 21-year-old accused of driving a motorcycle through the Trinity Beach Tavern has appeared in Cairns Magistrates Court.
Police allege Mr Willis entered the popular venue on the bike on the night of Friday, July 5, narrowly missing customers inside, before crashing the vehicle and causing damage to the business.
The man was arrested at the scene and was charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle and adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, driving an unregistered vehicle as well as driving an uninsured vehicle.
He will also face charges of using or permitting use of a vehicle for which a number plate attached given granted for another vehicle and failing to provide a specimen of breath or saliva for test on requirement.
His matter was mentioned before Magistrate Gelma Meoli on Tuesday before being adjourned.
It will return to court for a long plea on September 4.
