Traffic has been delayed on a remote Far North Road following a two-vehicle crash on Monday morning.

Emergency services responded to reports of a truck and vehicle crash on the Peninsula Development Road, 7km south of the Archer River Roadhouse at 5.47am.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman confirmed two patients were assessed for minor injuries.

“We have one unit on scene. Both patients were out of the vehicles when we arrived,” the spokeswoman said.

According to the Department of Transport and Main Roads, lanes have been reduced and delays are expected.

Motorists are urged to proceed with caution.
