Emergency services have responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash which temporarily affected traffic on a busy Cairns road on Tuesday afternoon.
At 3.17pm Queensland Fire Department spokesman confirmed crews responded to reports of a head-on collision on the Cairns Western Arterial Road at the Barron Bridge in Kamerunga.
“We’ve got one fire and rescue crew there now,” the spokesman said.
“Looks like a head on collision … one of the cars was towing a boat.”
The spokesman said there were no entrapments in either vehicle.
The road was cleared as of 4.50pm.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed six people were involved in the crash, however no injuries were reported.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads confirmed lanes were reduced in both directions, with delays expected.
