TALENTED singer-songwriter Tullara Connors is looking forward to bringing her roots and folk music to the Cairns Festival’s diamond jubileeon Friday night.
The musician who performs under her first name relocated to Cairns in February 2021 from Northern NSW, quickly garnering a strong local following at her Far North gigs.
Tullara, 28, said it will be wonderful to appear on the main stage at the Esplanade at 7.45pm ahead of Hope D on August 26.
“I see my music as mix of The Waifs, John Butler and Fleetwood Mac,” she said.
“A lot of my music is about wearing my heart openly, I always aim to entertain and show people something a little bit different on the guitar.”
Ms Connors’ solid gig list where the stormed the stages and won the hearts of audiences at festivals in Australia, Europe, Scandinavia and Canada, supporting he likes of Donavon Frankenreiter, Wallis Bird, The East Pointers and Australian musicians The Waifs, Jeff Lang, Troy Cassar-Daley and Mia Dyson.
“I’m working on my third album at the moment,” she said.
“Plus I have 60 private guitar students through Buzz Music, St Monica’s, St Thereses’s and St Augustine’s.”
Tullara is one of 1200 artists featured in 78 events at the Cairns Festival which beings music, culture and arts to Cairns Performing Arts Centre, Munro Martin Parklands and the Festival HQ at the Court House Gallery.
