Two women have been taken to Cairns hospital after they were injured in separate road accidents overnight including an alleged drunk driver who rolled a car in Westcourt.
Paramedics were first called to an incident in Earlville at 8.2pm after a woman was struck by a vehicle.
The woman in her 30s sustained leg and pelvic injuries after she was hit on Balaclava Road.
She was transported to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition.
The second incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning in Westcourt.
Queensland Ambulance Service were called at 2.22am following a single vehicle rollover on the corner of Buchan St and Mulgrave Road.
A female in her 20s was transported to Cairns hospital in a stable condition and a male in his teens was also assessed at the scene but declined further transport.
A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed a 20-year-old Freshwater woman has been charged with driving under the influence after the accident and has been given a notice to appear in court on March 22.
