Emergency crews have arrived at a Far North creek to rescue a pair of hikers.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews were called to the Turtle Head Rock walking trail near Davies Creek just after 3pm after reports of hikers trapped by rising water levels at a creek.

Two crews arrived at 3.51pm and found their car at the turn-off to the hiking trail, several hundred metres on from the lookout carpark.

A QFES spokeswoman said there were no reported injuries.

“Some hikers were trying to return to the carpark but because the water level in the creek had risen, they need assistance getting across,” she said.

“No one is stuck in the water.”

The hikers were rescued without injury about 4.50pm.

An additional two firefighter crews as well as paramedics were on standby to attend the scene if needed.
