The Toyah Cordingley murder trial in the Cairns Supreme Court is expected to run for three weeks.

The trial of Rajwinder Singh has entered its final days ahead of the jury being asked to decide the fate of the former nurse, who has pleaded not guilty to killing Cairns woman Toyah Cordingley in 2018.

This morning, Crown prosecutor Nathan Crane warned the jury it would be a long day as he began his closing address.

He noted the case against Mr Singh was largely circumstantial, but said that did not make it harder for the jury to make a decision.

“Juries grapple with it week to week in Queensland,” Mr Crane said.

“What you accept and what you don’t accept, and nothing is looked at in isolation.”
