Paramedics and police at scene of bus and truck crash in Portsmith
Emergency services are responding to a serious crash near the centre of Cairns after a delivery truck and bus collided.

Emergency serviced have attended a crash between a bus and a truck near the Cairns CBD shortly after 6am on Monday.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they were called to attend he incident near the corner of Kenny and Fearnley streets in Portsmith around 6.15am.
“We where on scene at 6.20am and have transported two stable patients to Cairns Hospital,” she said.
“The people transported were understood to be drivers of the truck and bus.
“We understand they are in very stable condition and have been taken in for observation as a precaution.”
A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed officers were in attendance.
“We were called at 6.10am,” he said.
It is understood that traffic may be delayed while both vehicles are being towed.
