Barron River in full flow

The Julatten Hotel, which was sold to Chris Morris’ Colonial Leisure Group for $1.2m in late 2022, has thrown open its doors again after being closed since the Covid pandemic hit in 2020.

The move by the Morris group to revitalise the pub is curious due to the company putting the Daintree Hotel on the market in May via expressions of interest – after it was closed for a short time before opening again.
