City Cave Wellness Centre plans move to Bowral

THE fastest growing health and wellness centre in the southern hemisphere is heading north to open a new Cairns North infra-red sauna, float pool and massage centre.

City Cave Cairns North will be the 52nd centre to open throughout Australia and New Zealand.

City Cave Cairns North franchisees Melissa and Ben Davis have been busy onsite at the Charles St outlet to oversee specialist plumbing installation and an extensive shop fit-out.

The Brisbane-based business owner said City Cave Cairns North would offer three float pools each with their own pumps and filtration systems, three sauna rooms, three massage rooms, six showers, and relaxation space.

“We are so excited to be able to bring City Cave to Cairns. After my husband and I experienced our first float and sauna (flauna as we call it), we knew we had to open up our very own,” Ms Davis said.

“We have family and friends in Cairns and it’s basically our second home. We love Cairns so thought we would share something we love from Brisbane.”

Unexpected issues relating to building approvals and council requirements had caused delays but July 2 has now been set as the grand opening.

“Everyone can come in from 9am to 1pm and have a tour of our centre and learn about all our amazing services we provide,” Ms Davis said.

Heath benefits have meant float therapy has grown in popularity but Ms Davis said City Cave was offering something unique.

“Our wide open float rooms rather than a closed in float capsule has established a distinct point of difference in the float therapy market, proving to be a fantastic alternative for claustrophobic people,” she said.

“Float therapy offers a range of health benefits, including stress reduction, sleep improvement, pain management, and improved immune function.

“We offer massage services to help enhance your health and attain a profound relaxation. Remedial, sports, pregnancy, and relations massage therapies are just some of the speciality massage services we provide.

“City cave aims to be a place that makes wellness accessible to everyone and as a result allows the community to focus on their mental and physical health.”

A single float is $79, sauna $44, and massage starts at $90.
