A SHOCKING brawl between a group of boys at the Redlynch skate park, including a boy armed with a baseball bat, has been captured on camera.

Up to eight youths are involved in the expletive-ridden fight with the boy armed with the bat king hit in the face by another teen before the group moves into nearby parkland.

Local Redlynch boxing coach Ken Dalton was shown the video by one of his students and labelled it “disgusting”.

The Redlynch skate park was renamed Tenni skate park in 2008.

“The kids have obviously gone to a premeditated fight with a baseball bat because there’s no baseball in Redlynch,” he said.

“Their attitudes are aggressive.”

Mr Dalton posted his concerns about the brawl into a Redlynch community Facebook group, with Redlynch State College’s vice-captain Camdyn Ware responding to his comment to express her own concerns in a brave and heartfelt post.

“There are not enough words to describe how bitterly disappointed I am with my fellow teens,” she wrote.

“I wish I could say I am shocked at their repeated actions of recklessness and violence, but I’m not.

“It breaks my heart knowing that people in my demographic are causing immense harm and pain to the Redlynch community.”

She said the school community was already reeling from the recent break in and damage of their science and innovation building.

“The damaged caused may be physical, but the emotional pain they are continuously causing our community runs deep,” she said.

“I would like to apologise on behalf of all of the respectful, polite, and courteous young adults out there.

“We all acknowledge there is a severe drug, alcohol, violence and behavioural issue happening in our youth, and it upsets us greatly. I know I continuously try to pull up my friends and fellow teens on their behaviours, because it can be quite horrific and damaging.

“I wish there was more I could do to help. But please know that there are good kids out there, who are trying to be considerate and respectful members of the Redlynch community. I’m truly sorry for the damage that has continuously been caused.”
