DETECTIVES have swooped in a raid that allegedly uncovered a cache of drugs, cash and weapons – and the steroids were just the start of it.
Police have arrested a 39-year-old man after executing a search warrant at a Hill St home in Manunda about 9.30am.
The raid allegedly turned up significant amounts of methylamphetamine, MDMA tablets, liquid steroids, cannabis, restricted prescription medication, drug utensils, knuckle dusters and a handgun.
At the conclusion of the search, the Manunda man was arrested, opposed bail and remains in police custody.

He was charged with 13 offences:
■ Three counts of possessing a restricted drug
■ Two counts of possessing a dangerous drug (testosterone and buprenorphine)
■ One count of possessing a dangerous drug (methylamphetamine exceed scheduled 4)
■ One count of possessing a dangerous drug (MDMA exceed scheduled 3 but less than schedule 4)
■ One count of possession of property suspected of being proceeds of a drug offence
■ One count of possession of a category H weapon (handgun)
■ One count of possession of prohibited combination of items
■ One count of contravening order about information necessary to access information stored
electronically
■ One count of possessing property suspected of having been used in the connection with a
drug offence
■ One count of unlawful possession of a category M weapon (knuckle dusters)
The man is scheduled to reappear at the Cairns Magistrates Court on October 6.
