SURGING Far North demand has brought three new stores to a major shopping centre which has expanded its fashion and beauty collection.
Cairns Central centre manager Christie-Lee Jackson said the new stores have expanded the centre’s choices which has made it the largest Far North shopping mall.
Women’s clothing chain Gorman was the first of the new arrivals to open, with two other names to follow.
“The centre is thrilled to welcome another sought-after brand, Gorman to the already comprehensive retail offering,” she said.
“We’re also excited to announce that in the coming months Charcoal Clothing and Novo Shoes will also open.”
Novo Shoes which occupied a space at Cairns Central had shut for some time and now will be reopening in a new store at the centre.
Of the selection of new stores, Gorman womenswear, was the first to arrive as the national brand has chosen to open a location in Cairns to join their 43 existing businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
“We are extremely excited to be opening up our first boutique in Cairns as we have a large following of loyal Gorman customers in tropical Queensland and have delivered on their many requests to open a store closer to them,” a Gorman spokesperson said.
Gorman offered discounts on its opening and gave a gift with purchase to the first 100 customers.
The store is known for its bold and offbeat prints, exclusive artist collaborations and sustainable fabrics and materials.
“We will be employing a few staff and have some casual positions going at the moment.
For career opportunities people can visit our website,” the spokesperson said.
The stores will join new eatery Grill’d which opened in Cairns Central in June.
