Aussie golden girl Ariarne Titmus set to make a splash headlining Cairns Crocodiles

Cairns Crocodiles, a media and marketing super convention, not the reptiles, has revealed it has snapped up swimming superstar and Paris golden girl Ariarne Titmus as it’s special guest speaker in May.

Australian swimmer and Olympic gold medallist Ariarne Titmus has been revealed as a guest speaker at Cairns Crocodiles, a media and marketing convention in May.

Ms Titmus will be involved in a one on one conversation with Pinterest managing director Melinda Petrunoff as part of the three-day event.

“Ariarne may well be known as ‘The Terminator’ in the pool, but her tenacity, grit and brilliance is something that we can all take lessons from,” Ms Petrunoff said.

“I personally continue to learn and be inspired by Ariarne. I can’t wait for attendees to hear her incredible story and walk away motivated to push their own creative boundaries.”

Ms Titmus added won two gold medals at the Paris Olympics, winning the 400m freestyle overcoming North American phenomenons Katy Ledecky and Summer Mcintosh in the “race of the century”.

It takes her total medals to four gold three silver and one bronze,

Ariarne will explore her athletic achievements and what the future holds for her, her motivations and what inspires her.

The Cairns Crocodiles, formerly known as Cannes in Cairns, will be held at the Cairns Convention Centre between May 13-15.

The event is a meeting place for visionary minds in advertising, creativity, marketing and media.

Other speakers include broadcaster, columnist and author, Antoniette Lattouf, actor and screenwriter Aaron Fa’aoso and paralympian Grant “Scooter” Patterson.

The event also includes workshops and networking events with industry leaders.

For the first time the event will showcase the Cairns Hatchlings, a program designed for industry up-and-comers to showcase what they do best to industry decision-makers.

Early bird tickets are available until March 30.
