Cairns Regional Council has hosted the 2023 Cairns Woman of the Year Awards on International Women's Day at the Pullman International Hotel. Ashleigh Meikle was awarded Cairns Young Woman of the Year, Jo Piggott was crowned Cairns Woman of the Year and Anna Jones recieved the Cairns Recognition Award, with a $2,000 scholarship from Cairns Regional Council.
