As the bus arrived outside the centre, police allege the older woman stabbed the younger woman with the pen.

A 34-year-old male passenger attempted to separate the woman but was also allegedly stabbed with the pen.

The 41-year-old was arrested at the scene before being taken to Maroubra police station where she was assisting with police inquiries.

She has since been charged with two counts of wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

She was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.

“This is so scary,” one woman said.

“My girls took (the) bus to Eastgardens for a movie.

“Never been so frightened and helpless when they call me scared, not know what was going on.”
