A woman has allegedly targeted a childcare centre and a high school in a bomb hoax.

A woman has been charged after allegedly making bomb threats at a childcare centre and a high school in Brisbane’s south.
Police allege the woman sent threatening messages to a childcare centre in Redland Bay and a high school at Runcorn between July 24 and July 25.
A 50-year-old Cleveland woman was last week arrested and charged with two counts of making a bomb hoax - falsely inform a bomb present.
“Police investigations have concluded that the alleged threats were unsubstantiated, and that there was no risk to any children or the community,” a statement from the Queensland Police Service read.
It is alleged the woman was not known to or connected with the school or the childcare.
The woman has been remanded in custody and expected to appear before Cleveland Magistrates Court on Monday.
