A major police probe has been launched after a man found injured on a footpath in Sydney’s south died.

The NSW Police Homicide Squad has launched a major probe after a man found injured on a footpath outside an apartment complex in Sydney’s south died.
Emergency services rushed to Maloney St in Eastlakes following reports a man was injured about 12.20pm on Monday.
NSW Ambulance paramedics assisted the man, but he died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
Police established a crime scene and have begun investigating the man’s death with assistance from the Homicide Squad.
Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact South Sydney police or Crime Stoppers.
