Gunman on the loose after fatal shooting in Melbourne’s inner-city

Emergency services rushed to the scene early on Saturday after a man was discovered with a gunshot wound.

A manhunt is underway following the death of a man found with a gunshot wound in an inner-Melbourne street early Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to Langford Street in North Melbourne about 3.15am after a man was foundon the footpath with a gunshot wound.

The man, who is yet to be identified, was declared dead at the scene.

A Victoria Police spokesperson confirmed no arrests have been made yet.

“Police have cordoned off the area,” the spokesperson said.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam/CCTV footage, or any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.”

ABC have reported “scuffles” broke out following the man’s death as crowds gathered at the scene.

Police have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
