Victorian opposition leader Matthew Guy has refused to be quizzed on reports a party frontbencher was exposed for following soft porn social media accounts.
Mr Guy provided the response on Tuesday morning after it was revealed shadow treasurer David Davis followed Twitter pages including @whoreofyore.
He also followed @melbourneboudoirbykaren, which shows women posing in lingerie, on Instagram.
But Mr Guy said his mind was elsewhere as the party prepares to swing voters at the state election in just 11 days.
“Sorry, I’ve got absolutely no intention of going over who liked what on social media,” he told reporters.
“You can run all the commentary you like … but my job is to provide a sensible vision for Victoria’s future.”
Mr Guy went on to attempt to divert attention back to the party’s latest election promise that would switch up how Victoria’s gas is distributed.
“You can run all the commentary that you like but I’m commenting on the issues I think are important,” he said.
Under this plan, 100 per cent of new conventional onshore gas will be reserved for Victorian consumers without fracking.
