Chilling footage released linked to stabbing Melbourne CBD

Police are searching for witnesses after a North Melbourne man was stabbed twice by an unknown man and rushed to hospital.

Police are on the hunt for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Melbourne’s CBD last month.

It’s understood the North Melbourne man, 30, became involved in an altercation with another unknown man outside a licensed business on King St in Melbourne’s CBD about 11.50am on September 22.

Just as the 30-year-old was leaving in a taxi, the unknown man stabbed him twice.

On Thursday, Victoria Police released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to.

The footage showed the unknown man, dressed in a black and white hoodie with black pants, looking around the area before appearing to yell at another person in front of a car.

He then could be seen fleeing the scene and weaving through traffic on foot.

Following the stabbing, the North Melbourne man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries and underwent surgery.

Following the incident, Victoria Police released CCTV footage in the hopes of finding the man.

He was last seen wearing a black and white hoodie, black pants, black shoes and a black bag.
