Police have revealed chilling footage which allegedly captures the moment two masked thieves smash their way into a woman’s bedroom during an alleged “targeted” incident.
Chilling CCTV has captured the alleged moment two masked thieves broke into a woman’s home bedroom in Melbourne’s north, before threatening her with a knife and stealing her handbag and some Christmas presents.
Detectives from the Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit have launched a renewed appeal for assistance following the burglary in the suburb of Lalor last month.
Investigators have been told two unknown males allegedly smashed their way into the front bedroom of a Dalton Rd home on December 5.
CCTV captures the men wearing masks and hoods, before going on to threaten the woman with a knife.
It is alleged the pair then stole a bag containing her wallet as well as several presents underneath a Christmas tree inside the home.
“There were no physical injuries,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
It is further allege the men smashed the woman’s car window and slashed her tyres before fleeing.
It is being treated as a targeted incident, police have said.
Investigators have released CCTV and images of two men they believe can assist with their inquiries.
They are described as aged in their 20s and were wearing dark coloured hooded jumpers, trackpants, balaclavas and carrying backpacks.
