A man who allegedly stabbed his brother with a hunting knife and then bungled the getaway, driving his car into a tree, has faced court for the first time.

The man who drove straight into a tree after allegedly stabbing his brother with a knife in suburban Adelaide has fronted court for the first time.
Kane Gregory Robin Swift, 35, is alleged to have stabbed his brother Raymond Drechsler in the stomach at an Elizabeth Park address on Tuesday.
Mr Swift entered a red Ford SUV after the alleged altercation, reversed out at speed and then drove into straight a tree.
Police arrested him moments after the crash.
CCTV footage captured the moment Mr Swift ploughed into the tree.
The charge sheet document, released to NewsWire, alleges Mr Swift also assaulted a Lisa Swift during the fracas.
He can be seen falling out of the Ford after driving into a tree, just moments before police arrive to arrest him.
Emergency services were called to the Billing St home about 1pm.
Mr Drechsler suffered serious, life-threatening injuries from the alleged attack and paramedics rushed him to hospital.
Police have charged Mr Swift with attempted murder and assault.
He fronted Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon via videolink from custody.
He did not enter pleas and magistrate Elizabeth Ferris listed a charge determination hearing at Adelaide Magistrates Court for July 9.
