UK tourist fined for driving motorhome 40km/h more than limit in rural NSW
A man has been slapped with a fine after he was allegedly clocked at speeds of up to 153km/h while driving a motorhome.

Police have issued a speeding fine for a man who allegedly clocked up speeds of 153km/h while driving a motorhome in regional NSW.
On Monday, November 18 about midday, NSW Police detected a vehicle allegedly speeding on the Hume Highway at Tumblong, 390km west of Sydney, exceeding the signposted speed limit of 110km/h.
Officers pulled over a 23-year-old driver, who was behind the wheel of a rental Fiat motorhome and allegedly outstripping the speed limit by 43km/h. There were three passengers inside the vehicle; it’s understood the driver is originally from the UK and on holiday in Australia.
The driver tested negative for drugs and alcohol and was slapped with a $1097 infringement for exceeding the speed limit by more than 30km/h.
The driver also had his driving privileges immediately suspended for three months.
