Teen charged over crash, 12yo trapped between car and tree for 40 minutes
A teenager has been charged after he allegedly crashed his car and pinned a 12-year-old boy between the vehicle and a tree for 40 minutes.

A teenager has been charged after he allegedly crashed his car in Sydney’s east, seriously injuring a 12-year-old boy who was left pinned between the vehicle and a tree for 40 minutes.
The 17-year-old driver allegedly mounted the kerb at the intersection of Gardeners Rd and Bunnerong Rd in Kingsford before 3.40pm on Tuesday, according to police.
The 12-year-old boy was trapped between the front of the vehicle and a tree at the busy intersection for more than half an hour with serious injuries.
He was then taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital and remains in a critical condition.
The teen behind the wheel of the white Holden sedan was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital
for mandatory testing under police guard.
He was not injured in the accident.
After his release from hospital, the teenager was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievously bodily harm – drive manner dangerous, and negligent driving.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
