Qld Police called to car crash after Lamborghini hits pole on the Gold Coast

A driver has been lucky to walk away uninjured after crashing his rare Lamborghini into a pole, splitting the car in half.

A rare Lamborghini sports car worth more than $800,000 has been split in half after a driver ploughed into a power pole.

Queensland Police were called to the Carwash Headquarters near the corner of Upton St and Ashmore Rd in Bundall, on the Gold Coast, about 6.30pm on Sunday.

The driver, a 40-year-old Broadbeach man, reportedly lost control of his silver Lamborghini after leaving the car wash, completely writing off his rare vehicle.

It’s understood the car is one of just 10 registered in Australia.

The man was treated for minor injuries.

No charges have been laid.
