Three people – including two paramedics – have been hospitalised after an ambulance rolled over during a collision with a car in Melbourne on Thursday morning.
Two paramedics were treated and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital while the driver of the other vehicle was taken to Austin Hospital following the accident just before 6.30am.
All three were in a stable condition.
Ambulance Victoria said there were no patients in the ambulance at the time of the accident.
“We are grateful for the response of other emergency crews, including paramedics who cared for their colleagues and the other person involved,” Ambulance Victoria said in a statement.
Victoria Police said the ambulance was travelling north on Albert St when the collision occurred with the other vehicle, which was travelling east on Station St.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
